Enter The Land From Without, And Try To Become A Part.

Outlander is a procedurally-generated exploration game in the vein of Minecraft or Terraria where you must carefully navigate a dark planet full of dangerous creatures. Armed with a handful of tools and the knowledge that light will keep you safe, you can explore, build, and improve your armaments at your own pace. The game is notable for offering multiple world types and some very challenging gameplay elements.

A Battle For Survival, Waged Indirectly

Worth noting in Outlander is that enemies in unfavourable conditions, such as dark enemies when you have no light source, can kill you in one blow, forcing you to reload your saved game. This lack of respawning, combined with a fundamentally deadly set of presences, makes Outlander a bit more dangerous and survival-focused than other games in its genre. Managing light sources, building the right structures, and defending yourself can be very challenging, so even though the game is theoretically suitable for all ages, adults may find it easier to manage.

A Potential Landing Point

Overall, Outlander doesn't look like much, but it can be a very fun game if you give it a chance. The game takes a lot of patience, but for the right player, could easily become a favourite.
